Terms of Service — Potshare

These Terms govern your use of the Potshare mobile app. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. The service

Potshare is a personal savings-goal planner. It does not connect to your bank, hold your money, give regulated financial advice, or guarantee any outcome. Calculations are aids, not advice.

2. Accounts

• You can use the free tier without an account.
• If you create an account, you are responsible for the security of the credentials you use (Apple Sign In, Google, email).
• You must be at least 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK) to create an account.

3. Pro purchase

• Pro is sold as a one-time, non-consumable purchase through Apple's App Store. Pricing is shown in-app before purchase.
• The purchase does not renew and has no recurring charge.
• You can restore Pro on devices using the same Apple ID. Refunds are handled by the App Store under Apple's refund policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, abuse the service, attempt to access data that isn't yours, or use the app for illegal purposes.

5. Community content and conduct

Potshare lets you save with other people. You can create a display name and @username, upload an avatar, invite people to shared "together pots", and send messages in a pot's chat. Content you add that other users can see — your profile, pot names and notes, and chat messages — is "user content".

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. There is no tolerance for objectionable, illegal, or abusive user content or behaviour on Potshare. You agree not to post, send, or upload content that is:

• unlawful, fraudulent, or a scam;
• harassing, bullying, threatening, or that targets another person;
• hateful or discriminatory (including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, age, or sexual orientation);
• sexually explicit, or that depicts nudity or child sexual abuse material;
• violent or that incites violence;
• spam, or that impersonates another person or organisation.

You are solely responsible for the content you post and for your interactions with other users.

Reporting and blocking. Every user profile and chat message can be reported from inside the app (open a profile, or press and hold a message). You can also block any user from their profile — a blocked person cannot add you, message you, or invite you to pots. Reports go to our moderation team.

Our commitments. We review reports of objectionable content and act on them, typically within 24 hours: we may remove content and eject the user who provided it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. To report a concern outside the app, or if you believe someone is at risk, email us at support@potshare.co.uk.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of your data. We process it under our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete it at any time.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on the app.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not limit liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. You can stop using the app at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
